Day 7

Subject: [firstname] Keep it or sell it?

Hey [firstname]!

Like the old song says:

Darlin' you've got to let me know
Should I stay or should I go?

Once your membership site is up and running, and has plenty of members, you have to ask yourself whether you're in this for the long run or not.

Oftentimes, running a membership site (or any kind of business for that matter) requires a different set of skills from starting one.

You have to ask yourself: Are those skills you have?

Whether you say “yes” or “no”, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.

Running your membership site can give you a steady income for years to come. It's not entirely passive, though. Even if all your content is user generated, you still have to moderate the content, deal with chargebacks and other hassles.

If you have a “regular” membership site, then you've got to come up with fresh content all the time. You don't have to do it all yourself. You can hire people to do it for you and take on a CEO type of role. Some people thrive at doing this, others start to regard it as just another j-o-b.

If that's you, then selling your membership site can give you a big payday. Marketplace sites like Flippa https://flippa.com/sell can put your site in front of eager buyers who don't want to take the risk of staring a new business from scratch. You can then take the money and start another new site.

Wow! We've covered quite a lot of ground over the past week or so – from membership site types, platforms, niche research and forums, to getting traffic and more.

Despite all this, there's a whole bunch of stuff I simply haven't had time to cover – the best payment methods, and how to keep your “churn” rate down, for example.

I go into much more detail in my guide to starting your first membership site. I've still got a few copies left, but they're going fast. Grab your copy RIGHT NOW from [link to sales page] before it's too late.

To your success!
